Praise.
Singing/Chanting God's Glory.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Ps 150:6

I will bless the Lord at all times; praise shall be always in my mouth. Ps 34:2

As long as I live I shall sing to the Lord; I shall sing psalms to my God all my life long. May my meditation be acceptable to him; I shall delight in the Lord. Ps 103:33-34

I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord. Ps 104:33-34

To God belongs all praise; Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth; Lord of the universe. To Him belongs all majesty in the heavens and the earth; He is the almighty, the wise. Quran 45:36-7

Your speaking is beneficial if you sing Lord's Glory in the holy company. If by your exhortation, a separated soul is united with the Lord, your speaking is better than remaining quiet, many times over. Shanti Vachan Bhandar, 467.

O Sadguru! TheOcean of Compassion! I fail to find words to express your Infinite Glory. Your compassion is limitless. You shower your blessings even on those who are deluded and have forgotten you. Shanti Vachan Bhandar, 628.

O Lord! Bless me, that I may always sing Thy Glory and hear Thy Glory. May I never ponder over praise or calumny. May I ever attain pleasure by singing Thy Glory, for it is by Thy Glory that the inner self is enlightened. Rest all is darkness. Shanti Vachan Bhandar, 670.

O My Lord! All is Thy Praise, then why should I call myself noble. O Lord! Bestow upon me humility so that I may never count my virtues. Shanti Vachan Bhandar, 677.

O Lord! I cannot narrate Thy Favours even if I had a thousand mouths. I can never repay Thy Benevolence, that Thou hast showered upon me, overlooking my errors. Shanti Vachan Bhandar, 697.

Sing Lord's Glory or any devotional hymn if you feel lonely and sad. Shanti Vachan Bhandar, 1269.

Always be grateful to the Lord and sing His Glory so that His Grace may smile upon you all the time. Shanti Vachan Bhandar, 1826.

O Lord! I have only a single tongue! Even if my every cell were to become a tongue, I would not be able to sing Thy Glory. So Infinite and Limitless is Thy Glory. Shanti Vachan Bhandar, 1875.

To praise God is to be purified: when purity arrives, corruption quickly leaves. Opposites flee from each other: night flees when the light dawns. When the pure Name enters the mouth, neither impurity nor sorrow remain. Your awe and love are the rope to catch My gift: beneath every "O Lord" of yours is many a "Here am I" from Me. Rumi, Mathnawi III, 186-188, quoted in: Helminski, Kabir (2000). The Rumi Collection. P.97.

Your depression is connected to your insolence and refusal to praise. Whoever feels himself walking on the path, and refuses to praise - that man or woman steals from others every day - is a shoplifter! Rumi, quoted in: Helminski, Kabir (2000). The Rumi Collection. P.100.

Water and clay, when fed on the breath of Jesus,
spread wings, became a bird and flew.
Your praise of God is a breath
from your body of water and clay.
Make it a bird of paradise
by breathing into it your heart's sincerity.

Rumi, Mathnawi I, 866-867, quoted in: Helminski, Kabir (2000). The Rumi Collection. P.102.
