Omnipotence.

Whatever is not God is nothing ... Thomas A Kempis, Imitation of Christ, III.31.2

God! None is Worthy of worship but He, The Ever Living, The One Who Sustains and Protects all that exists. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? He Knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter. And they will never encompass anything of His Knowledge except that which He Wills. His Kursi (Throne) extends over the heavens and the earth, and he Feels no fatigue in Guarding and Preserving them and He is the Most High, The Supreme. Quran 2:255

The Lord killeth, and maketh alive; He bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich; He bringeth low, He also lifteth up. He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, He lifteth up the needy from the dung-hill (...). For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and He hath set the world upon them. I Samuel 2:6-8. Quoted after: Miriam Bokser Caravella, The Holy Name. P.66.

I am the goal, the upholder, the master, the witness, the home, the shelter and the most dear friend. I am the creation and the annihilation, the basis of everything, the resting place and the eternal seed. Gita 9:18

Absolutely, everything in the heavens and the earth belong to God, and absolutely, God's promise is truth (...) Quran 10:55

He who knows Me as the unborn, as the beginningless, as Supreme Lord of all the worlds - he, undeluded among men, is freed from all sins. Gita 10:3

Say, "Shall I seek other than God as a Lord when He is the Lord of all things?" Whatever anyone earns is for his own account. No burdened soul will bear the burden of another. To your Lord is your ultimate return, then He will inform you of everything you disputed. Quran 6:164

The whole universe is ever in his power. He is pure consciousness, the creator of time: all-powerful, all-knowing. It is under his rule that the work of creation revolves in its evolution, and we have earth, and water, and ether, and fire and air. His being is the source of all being, the seed of all things that in this life have their life. He is beyond time and space, and yet he is the God of infinite forms who dwells in our inmost thoughts, and who is seen by those who love him. Svetasvatara Upanishad

This is God's system that has always prevailed. God's system is never changeable. Quran 48:23

Save yourself from evil by keeping in mind that the Lord is Omniscient. Remember the Lord is clairvoyant and can see all. Nothing is hidden from Him. He is the knower of all. Shanti Vachan Bhandar, 1496.

(...) God does not need to justify Himself to man. It is enough that He is omnipotent. From this perspective everything He does or allows must be accepted. This is the position of biblical Job. But God, who besides being Omnipotence is Wisdom and - to repeat once again - Love, desires to justify Himself to mankind. He is not the Absolute that remains outside the world, indifferent to human suffering. He is Emmanuel, God-with-us, a God who shares man's lot and participates in his destiny. John Paul II, Crossing the Threshold of Hope, P.62-63.

In times of interior desolation I do not lose my peace, because I know that God never abandons a soul, except perhaps only when the soul itself breaks the bond of love by its unfaithfulness. However, all creatures without exception depend on the Lord and are maintained by His omnipotence. (...). Faustina Kowalska, The Diary, 1315.

(…) once again accept my call and begin anew to pray, until prayer becomes a joy for you. And then you will discover that God is almighty in your everyday life. (…) Our Lady of Medjugorie, May 25, 1992. Words from Heaven, P.267.

It is up to you to pray and I will take care of the rest. You cannot even imagine how powerful God is. That is why, pray! Pray because he wants to be with you and wants to cleanse you from all sin. Our Lady of Medjugorie, February 3, 1984. Words from Heaven, P.365.

O my Lord, as powerful as fire, O omnipotent one, now I offer You all obeisances, falling on the ground at Your feet. O my Lord, please lead me on the right path to reach You, and since You know all that I have done in the past, please free me from the reactions to my past sins so that there will be no hindrance to my progress. Sri Isopanisad, Mantra18.

We are the children of the Almighty; we are sparks of the infinite Divine Fire. How can you be nothing? We are everything, we can do everything - and man must do everything. Vivekananda, quoted in: Nikhilananda, Vivekananda, A Biography, P.190.

One breath from the breath of the Lover
Would be enough to burn away the world,
To scatter this insignificant universe like grains of sand.

Rumi, quoted in: Helminski, Kabir (2000). The Rumi Collection. P.101.

The army and its leaders are enthralled by Him.
Those with wit are made witless by Him.
Hundreds of thousands of kings are in His service.
Hundreds of thousands of full moons
are dedicated to the all-night fever of His love.

Rumi, Mahnawi III, 3700 ..., quoted in: Helminski, Kabir (2000). The Rumi Collection. P.189.

To love God "for His own sake" is therefore not just to love the notion of an omnipotent and all-good Father. It is, on the contrary, to love Him who is without knowing really who or what He is simply because He is and because His Being is existentially present to us as the ground of all existence, all knowledge, all freedom, and all love. Thomas Merton, Conjectures of a Guilty Bystander, P.327.
